Advance Decisions.
An advance decision is a legal document setting out a person’s wishes and preferences in relation to medical treatment that they might be offered in future.
The advance decision would only be considered if, at the time the treatment is offered, the person lacks the mental capacity to accept or refuse this treatment themselves.
