Butler & Co Solicitors – change of constitution

We are pleased to announce that, as of 1 June 2022, we have become a limited company and are now officially known as Butler & Co Solicitors Ltd. This is a significant development for us and is the culmination of months of planning. It is a major landmark in our progress as a firm and provides the constitutional framework for our ongoing growth and development. We are very grateful to Tom Blandford at Armstrong Watson accountants and to Simon Morris and Dave Robbins at Stephens and Scown solicitors for all the hard work and advice they have provided to us in relation to this matter.

Despite this exciting change, our clients and those with whom we do business should not expect to notice any difference in our activities. We will continue to trade (and be known) as Butler & Co solicitors and there will be no change to our day to day operations or in the services that we provide to our clients.

Michael Butler, the firm’s owner and founder, is now a Director of the new company and is joined by Chris Heery and Catrin Blake, who were previously Senior Associates. There are also a number of personnel changes within the firm to accompany the new organisational structure. In our Court of Protection department, Eleanor Bulmer and Helen Georgiou are both promoted to reflect their contribution and value to the firm. Eleanor now becomes an Associate, and Helen becomes a Court of Protection Case Manager. Katie Hughes and Angelo Monni have also both recently qualified as solicitors. Katie will practise in the Court of Protection department whilst Angelo will practise in the Mental Health Department alongside Angela Wall who also qualified as a solicitor last year.
