Erin has significant experience working with some of the most vulnerable sectors of society, having worked for both the police and Women’s Aid before starting her legal career. Formerly studying and lecturing in psychology, Erin has specialist knowledge and an in-depth understanding of mental pathology and human behaviour, which she applies to her role advising and representing clients who are detained under the framework of the Mental Health Act 1983.
Combining her academic background in psychology and her recent studies in criminal litigation, Erin has developed a particular interest in cases involving forensic patients who are detained in psychiatric hospital. Erin’s day-to-day work entails assisting detained patients who wish to appeal against their detention by way of tribunal. She enjoys working with a diverse range of clients, helping to ensure their fundamental rights are protected.
Erin is a mother to three young boys and a qualified fitness coach. She has competed in fitness competitions both nationally and overseas and provides coaching and advice to other women on nutrition, fitness, physical well-being and post-natal body transformation in her spare time.
